Constitution

1. The name of the club to be Clyde Soccer Glasgow with control of the five sections of the club-
1 - Childrens Section (Name : Clyde Soccer Glasgow)
2 - Youth Section (Name : Clyde Soccer Glasgow)
3 - Girls Section (Name : Glasgow Girls F.C.)
4 - Ladies Section (Name : Glasgow Ladies F.C.)
5 - Community Section (Clyde Soccer)
2. Clyde Soccer Glasgow "Coaching & Teams" will be non-profit making club and no one person or group will make financial gain.
3. Clyde Soccer Glasgow is not part of Clyde Football Club in any way or agreement
4. The aims of the club are: -
(a) To provide a means of entertainment and enjoyment through the game of football.
(b) To improve skills and methods of our players within the laws of the game
(c) To run our community football coaching classes and community football teams for boys & girls aged 3-4 (Clyde Soccer Mini-Kickers) & boys and girls aged 5-14 (Clyde Soccer Cumbernauld), of all skill levels who are coached in a fun and safe environment while learning a wide range of new skills our main emphases is on fun & enjoyment. These courses provide a playing pathway for all players "boys or girls" to our community teams (Please see attached player pathway diagram : Press Here to view.
5. The community teams will affiliate to the -
(1) Boys Teams-The Scottish Youth Football Association (S.Y.F.A. Hampden Park, Glasgow)
(2) Girls Teams-The Scottish Woman’s Football Association (S.W.F.A. Hampden Park, Glasgow)
This membership is renewed each year and games are played according to their rules and regulations.
6. An agreed fee to cover facility hire, equipment i.e., balls, training bibs, markers, other training/safety equipment, coaches expenses, insurance cover, coach education, coach disclosures by Disclosure Scotland will be charged at our coaching classes. These community coaching classes are not run to make a financial profit, but to offer children (boys & girls) the chance to participate in playing football which is open to all regardless of skill level, colour, race, religion
6a, Should their be a profit made from our coaching classes it will be used for the purchase of equipment for both the community teams and the community coaching classes.
6b, Should their be a revenue loss from our community coaching classes it will be absorbed by the club Clyde Soccer Glasgow
7. The affairs of the club will be managed by an executive committee, which shall meet every threee months or more frequent as required.
The committee shall consist of five officers of the club.
(i) Honorary Member - Mr Robert Anderson,
(ii) Chairperson - Mr Gerry McLean,
(iii) Fixture Secretary - Mr Paul McGillivray,
(iv) Treasurer - Mrs Joanna Howat,
(v) Secretary - Mr Jim Strathdee,
Along with two other members as co-opted members
(Parents of players in any of our teams)
Voting rights will be restricted to committee members only. However, the committee will take into consideration the wishes of team managers.
At least five committee members are required to form a quorum.
At each committee meeting the team manager from each of the Clyde Soccer Glasgow teams may attend along with his/her assistant or representative, thereby allowing information discussed at the meeting to be passed amongst team members.
8. The executive committee will have the power to create a sub-committee for any specific purpose in connection with the club.
9. The officers and executive committee shall be elected every two years at the Annual General Meeting.
10. No alteration of the rules may be made except at the A.G.M. or at an extraordinary general meeting convened for this purpose.
11. An Extraordinary General Meeting shall be called within fourteen days, on the signed request of more than sixty per cent of the executive committee.
12.
(a) Team managers will be selected by the executive committee after prior consultation with parents at the first meeting after the A.G.M.
(b) The selected team managers will then be responsible for selecting their own assistants.
(c) The team manager and his/her assistant are responsible for all discipline whilst their players are representing Clyde Soccer Glasgow
(d) The team manager or his/her assistant must phone the result of their match within two hours of the game finishing; the match team sheet must also be filled in and returned to the secretary not later than that evening.
(e) It is the responsibility of the team manager and his/her assistant to collect the weekly subs, keep account of their players and provide the subs for collection by the treasurer.
13. Each child whilst representing Clyde Soccer Glasgow either at training or playing must have had an indemnity form signed and in the possession of their team manager. Forms are provided by "The Scottish Youth Football Association" & "Scottish Woman’s Football Association"
14. Members wishing to resign should give notice in writing to the secretary before the first of May.
15. a-The financial year will end on the 5th day of April each year.
b-The new fanancial year will start on the 6th day of April each year.
16. The Annual General Meeting is to be held not later than the end of June each year, at which time the chairpersons report an audit of the accounts and any sub-committee reports shall be presented.
17. The honorary treasurer shall keep an account of all in-come and expenditure. The bank account shall be in the name of Clyde Soccer Glasgowand withdrawals shall be made in the name of Clyde Soccer Glasgow on the signatures of any two from three named below.

(b) Any assets remaining on the dissolution of Clyde Soccer Glasgow after satisfying any outstanding debts and liabilities shall not be distributed amongst the members but will be given to a registered charity.
18. Clyde Soccer Glasgow shall take out public liability insurance to cover all its activities, including playing games and coaching courses
19. All Clyde Soccer Glasgow coaches and assistants must hold the relevant Scottish Football Coaching qualifications for the age group they are coaching
20.All Clyde Soccer Glasgow Coaches, assistants, parents who help out on a voluntary basis must undergo an “ENHANCED DISCLOSURE” security check by Cumbernauld Police & Disclosure Scotland to check their suitability in working/coaching children, these certificates are held by "The Secretary" and can be viewed/inspected at any time.
21. Discretionary power is given to the committee to decide any circumstance not covered by this constitution.
22. The voting rights for parents shall be, (after his/her child has been a member of the club for twelve months) one member of the family voting per child registered with Clyde Soccer Glasgow To be elected to the committee the parent of the child must have been a member of the club for twelve months.
23. Any motions or grievances should be forwarded in writing to a member of the executive committee who will then raise the matter at the next meeting of the executive committee.
24 Any person is welcome to participate in a Clyde Soccer Glasgow Football coaching course or to participate in playing football in one of its teams regardless of, race, colour, religion, disability, sex.
25. Clyde Soccer Glasgow will recruit its participants & players from the local community by advertising locally, school visits, coaching courses, and by any other means.
26. All coaches with Clyde Soccer Glasgow are know as community football coaches.
27. Clyde Soccer Glasgow will have a -
1“Child Protection Policy”
2“Rehabilitation of Offenders Policy”
3“Secure handling of information (Children and Coaches) Policy”
These will be displayed on the Clyde Soccer Glasgow website for any person to see.
28. Every year Clyde Soccer Glasgow will renew its membership with the Volunteer Section for coaches disclossures etc.
